Pablo de Ronda fell in love with Ronda the first time he visited in August 2000. By 2005 he owned an apartment and a house in the Barrio San Francisco. He had also done up a house in town for his girlfriend of the time. In 2008, single again, he met the girl of his dreams and moved out to live permanently in the Ronda area.

Montejaque is tiny, with a population of less than 1000. Approximately 40 are foreigners. Another 40 or so foreigners are property-owners in the village but are non-residents. The range of nationalities represented is very wide.

This is an up-to-date appreciation of the bars and restaurants in the Barrio San Francisco in Ronda. Just outside the ancient city wall, this is an up-and-coming area with open-air spaces and fine dining.
